The Hideaway Youth Project receives a long-term grant award

Case Study

The Arete Foundation is pleased to support The Hideaway Youth Project and its open-access youth provision for young people across Moss Side, Hulme, and Rusholme.

For many years, The Hideaway has provided a trusted, community-based space where young people can access support, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to move towards positive futures. Working with young people aged 8 to 25, the organisation supports those facing social, educational, and personal barriers, including many at risk of becoming disengaged from education, employment, or training.

Alongside youth work and mentoring, the charity delivers employability support, skills development, creative activities, and practical guidance that helps young people progress into education, training, and work.

Our funding will help strengthen the organisation’s open-access provision by supporting enrichment activities, employability workshops, learning resources, and practical support that enables young people to fully engage.

What stands out about The Hideaway is its ability to build long-term, trusted relationships with young people who are often described elsewhere as “hard to reach”. Through consistency, care, and opportunity, the organisation is helping young people believe in their potential and take positive next steps.
