Contact provides a home that is safe and secure for homeless teenage girls aged 16-19 from across Greater Manchester and offers practical support to their residents.

Our donation is towards the running cost of Contact.

Those referred to Contact come from a range of backgrounds, including domestic violence, oppressive family regimes, forced marriage, threatened abduction, physical and emotional abuse. Over 90% were raised in poverty, coming from the most deprived areas of Manchester.

As well as eight residential rooms, Contact supports young women access training and employment – as well as other practical support. There is also a 24/7 helpline for support.

Contact has established a reputation in Manchester for accommodating very vulnerable young women who would be at high risk of exploitation and bullying in mainstream homeless accommodation.
