We are pleased to announce our newest long-term grant partnership with A&K Football Education CIC, based in Birkenhead on the Wirral.

Through this partnership, The Arete Foundation will support A&K's YoungCare Leavers Employability Course over the next two years.

This structured, 8-week programme is designed for young people aged 16–25 who are care leavers or Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).

The course focuses on building leadership, confidence, and employability skills.

In addition to delivering practical skills, guidance, and personalised support, A&K includes a two-week internship for each participant, ensuring everyone gains valuable work experience.

A&K shared:

"We support all learners in moving toward employment, education, ortraining. Each participant receives a tailored CV and cover letter, along withassistance in job searching and applying for roles in their chosen field. Forthose interested in further education, we help them access collegeopportunities. For those pursuing vocational pathways, we identify suitabletraining providers and eLearning courses tailored to their goals."
